Cape Town

Cape town has been voted the Greatest City on Earth in the Telegraph Travel Awards furvey for 2018. The best view of the city is from Table Mountain. Mountain got its name from ifs really flat top. There are slowly rotating cable cars going to the top of Table Mountain. Visitors are also able to climb, but when my dad made me to climb to the top I was crying from how tired I was.

Johannesburg

Johannesburg is South Africa’s biggest city, so there is a lot to see. I encourage to visit shopping malls where you can find a lot of strange shops with really good fashion. When I visited Johannesburg we stayed at my friend’s house, so we did not visit any monuments.

Kruger National Park

While visiting the Kruger National Park people have the opportunity to see a wild variety of animals, and flora. In some part people are also allowed to camp. There is a safari provided, one is early in the morning, and the other one is around 5 p.m. When you get lucky then you get to see animals like leopards which are really hard to see. Normally people see lions, snakes, birds, giraffes, hippos, and many others.

Eiffel Tower

The main reason why Eiffel Tower got so popular in really short time is that it was never supposed to be in Paris. Gustave Eiffel designes it for the temporary Exposition Universelle, and a lot of crazy other buildings and constructions were all around the Eiffel Tower during the exhibition.

Louvre Museum

It belongs to the list of most well-known museums in the world. It is world’s largest art museum and a historic monument in Paris.

Arc de Triomphe

Honored for people who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. It includes names of all French victories and generals inscribed on its inner and outer surfaces.

Sacré-Cœur

Sacré-Cœur Basilica.

Basilica stands on the butte Montmartre which is also the highest point in the city. It is also a second most visited monument in Paris. Sacré-Cœur was dedicated to Sacred Heart of Jesus in Paris.

Palace of Versailles

Principal Royal Residence for France from 1682 until the start of French Revolution. After French Revolution the Palace of Versailles was devastated, but many of its pieces have been returned, and many of the rooms have been restored. Palace belongs to a Monument historique and UNESCO World Heratage site. It belongs there especially for ceremonial Hall of Mirrors, the jewel-like Opera, the royal apartments, and many others.

Zürich

Zürich is the largest city in Switzerland, and also a global center for banking and finance. Zürich Airport and railway station are the busiest in the country.

Lucerne

Mussegmauer and its 9 towers is a monument located in Lucerne. The nine towers are icon of Lucerne. They date back to the 14th century. They make up the remnants of the old wall that surrounded city. Walls were build to defend city against attacking. Four of these tower are open and availible to public.

Zermatt

Mountain resort renowned for skiing, climbing, and hiking. The town lies bellow the known Matterhorn mountain.

Basel

Basel hosts Basler Fascnacht which is Switzerland’s biggest festival. It is a 3 day carnival that kicks off cold and early at 4 a.m. with musicans playing all over streats, and continues with parades, poets, and plenty of beer and delicious food.

Basel is also a home of good food.

Geneva

Geneva is surrounded by Alps and Jura mountains with dramatic view at Mont Blanc. Geneva offeres skiing, but also a lot of watersports. It is a great place to shop, eat, and explore. Geneva is also a French speaking capital of Switzerland.

Personally, I can only encourage visitation of England. I have never met anyone rude or mad. Everyone is friendly and welcoming

Big Ben

Big Ben is a symbol of the British Parliament one of the most accurate clocks in the world. The official name of the tower where Big Ben is located was the Clock Tower, but it was renamed Elizabeth Tower in 2012 to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II. When Big Ben was completed it stand as biggist and most accurate striking and chiming clock in the world.

Coca – Cola London Eye

Observation wheel on the edge of River Thames. It is the tallest observation wheel in Europe, and most paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom. When it opened to public it was the world’s tallest wheel.

Tower Bridge

Always gets confused with London Bridge, situated about 0.80 km upstream. It had become an iconic symbol of London.

Buckingham Palace

One of the world’s few remaining working royal palaces. London residence and administrative headquarters of the monarch of the United Kingdom.

A gift of friendship from the people of France to the United States, and is recognized asa universal symbol of freedom an democracy. Statues is located on Liberty Island in New York Harbor in New York. Statues was dedicated on October 28, 1886.

To the Island, the home of Lady Liberty is only possible transportation by boat. There is a beautiful view of New York City from the Statue of Liberty .

Central Park

Central Park is the most visited park in the United States, one of the most filmed locations in the world, and fifth largest park in New York City. Park includes the Ramble and Lake, Central Park Zoo, the Central Park Mall, Sheep Meadow, the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir, and the Delacorte Theater which offeres Shakespeare in the Park in the summertime.

Empire State Building

When its construction was completed in 1931 it became the tallest building in the entire world. Empire State Building held its record for 40 years until 1972 when the North Tower of the World Trade Center was finished. It was names as a ” America’s Favorite Architecture” in the poll conducted by the American Institured of Architects.

New York is sometimes called the Empire State, and that is also one of the bases where the Empire State Buildng got its name.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

One of the world’s largest and finest art museums. Its collections includes more than two million works of art, divided among seventeen curatorial departments.

The popular Met Gala is happening in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where also the popular exhibition of celebrity clothes can be found.

“Met Gala is an annual fundraising gala for the benefit of Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Instirute in New York City. It marks the opening of the Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibit. The Museum of Modern Art – MOMA

Identifies as one of the largest and most influential museums of modern art in the world.

The Museum of Modern Art is free for all visitors every Friday evening from 4 pm to 8 pm.

When someone asks me what is my favorite destination in the world, my answer is Maldives – Sun Island, and I don’t even have to think. I have been once on Four Season Island and 5 times on Sun Island, and I never get bored by this place.

Sun island Resort & SPA Maldives in located on Nalaguraidhoo Island. It is the biggest resort in Maldives with very hight value for cost.

Activities such as shark and fish feeding, diving with professionals. excursions, sailing, fishing, snorkeling, and water sports.

Most popular water sports that are offered are jet ski, parasailing, jet blade, and windsurf.

Sun Island also offers a great amount of really good food. Food changes every day, chiefs grill once a week.

Dubai is one of the few cities in the Middle East that is really open to tourists. “However, it must be noted that with the allowance comes the responsibility to be sensitive to the Islamic ways that are dominant and respected in Dubai.”

Most visitations are because the interest in experience, shopping, entertainment, advanture, food, and relaxation.

Personally, I really encourage visitation of Dubai to everyone.

Burj Khalifa

Also known as Burj Dubai has been the tallest building and structure in the entire world since 2009. Construction of Burj Khalifa took 5 years, and it was build as a part of a new development called Downtown Dubai.

Major attractions in and around Burj Khalifa are Burj Khalifa Park, The Dubai Mall, Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, and Dubai Ice Rink.

The very top of the building is 163th floor, but that is not accessible to public. However, tourists can still visit the deck called “At the Top Sky” which is at 555 meters. Currently still the highest deck in the world.

Burj Al Arab Jumeirah

Burj Al Arab or also 7-star hotel.

Luxury hotel, and 5th tallest hotel in the world. Also one of the most expensive hotels. One night is around $24,000. Hotel remains of a sail of a ship.

Atlantis Aquaventure

Atlantis Aquaventure makes my visitation of Dubai better every year. Offers many water atractions, aquarium, swimming with dolphins, and many more.

The Dubai Mall

Second largest mall by area in the world. Shops like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, Michael Kors, Balenciaga, Baldininy.

Gold and Spice Souks

Souks consists of over 380 retailers, most of them are jewellery traders. Major items of mall includes Gold, Platinum, Diamonds, and sometimes also deals with silver.

Bordered to the north by the Dubai Fish and Vegetable Market, on the other side of Gold and Spice souk there is Dubai Textile Souk.

Tokyo surprises every visitor with many neat buildings such as Tokyo Skytree, Tokyo Tower, Nezu Shrine, Inokashira Onski Park, Meiji Shrine, and many more. Every visitor should give a try to Japanesse traditional food that is spread all around world such as Sushi, Ramen, Udon, Tempura, Yakiniku, Sashimi, and Takoyaki.

Tokyo Skytree

Tokyo Skytree became the tallest structure in Japan in 2010. Towers full height is 634.0 meters (2,080 ft). It is a broadcasting, restaurant, and observation tower. Sugestions for the name were received from public. Name was chosen in 2008 as Tokyo Skytree with 30% from all votes. Skytree is tourist friendly, and also big with space. Visitors don’t have to worry about getting good view and pictures because tower has way more space than for example Empire State Building. The view is incredible.

Tokyo Tower

Tokyo Tower offers wonderful 360 degree view from its two observations. Build in 1958, and inspired by the Eiffel Tower. Tower is painted white in international orange to comply with air safety regulations.

Nezu Shrine

Nezu Shrine as most landmarks in Japan has its own special and individual history that is why of the reasons why should people be interested in visiting such a entertaining place. Its history stretches to almost 2000 years before present, during the time of Prince Yamato Takeru.

Around 3000 azaleas that bloom each year in spring are surrounding a 1000 toriis.

Inokashira Onshi Park

Park is considered as a present from the Emperor to the general public. Visitors are able to ride a swan boat on the lake, visit Inokashira smaller zoo. Zoo is broken into to parts, a smaller part that is right in the park and then a bigger part that is 500 meters away, across the street. A favorite attraction is also fish and duck free feeding.

Sensō-ji

Ancient Buddhist temple, Became independent after World War II, and it is counted as Tokyo’s oldest temple. Sensō-ji is mainly famous for it entrance gate called Kaminarimon. It looks back on a 1300 year history. Temple with its outstanding colors looks incredible under lights, all lights makes it look even better.

Sensō-ji Temple was the main reason why insignificant village of Asakusa became a town.

Charles Bridge

Charles Bridge is a stone Gothic bridge that connects the Old Town and Lesser Town. Before the bridge was named to Charles Bridge it was holding the name Stone Bridge.

Walking across the Charles Bridge that was build in the 14th century is one of the most memorable and enjoyable experiences while visiting Prague. It is a unique bridge replacement that was going across the river Vltava. The replacement of old bridge was commissioned by Czech King and Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV.

Charles Bridge replaces an older bridge due to its damaged surface because of floods. Bridge god completed around 1390, with the striking statues added in the 17th century. Bridge was named in the 19th century as Charle’s IV monument.

St. Vitus Cathedral

The Roman Metropolitan Cathedral of Saints Vitus, Wenceslaus, and Adalbert.

This gigantic cathedral was completed in 1929, and it is concidered as the largest and most important church in the whole country. It can be seen from all around the city of Prague. St Vitus Cathedral includes many tombs of Holy Roman Emperors and Bohemian Kings. Many treasures is hiden inside such as the tomb of St John of Nepomunk.

Lennon Wall

Wall is being covered by graffiti, lyrics, and quotations since the 1830’s. Lennon Wall is popular amongs visitors and citizens. Everyday wall is filled by new graffiti pictures and texts.

Prague Castle

Prague Castle was used as a seat of power for kings of Bohemia, Holy Roman emperors, and prezidents of old Czechoslovakia. Nowadays it is the official office of the Prezident of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman.

“According to the Guinness Book of Records, Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle in the world, occupying an area of almost 70,000 meters (750,ooo square feet), at about 570 meters (1,870 feet) in lenght and an average of about 130 meters (430 feet) wide.

Castle is considered as one of the most visited. Every year there is an exhibition of kings actual crown etc.

Prague Zoo and Botanical gardens

Opened with the idea to advance the study of zoology, protect the wildlife, and educate the public in 1931.

Zoo was rated as the seventh best one in the world by Forbes Travel Guide in 2007. Also rated as the fifth best one in the world by TripAdvisor. The Prague Zoo is mostly known for surviving the by flood in 2002, and for saving Przewalski horse for many years, it was leading breeder of the species.

1. Think about location

Pick a hotel or motel near to the transportation, airport, subway, and buses. It costs extra money if you pay for a cheap place out of the city, but there is no transportation. Staying in a hostel isn’t a good idea in the United States due to its lack of quantity and quality. There is also a countries where visitors can find nice hostel for a cheap price for example the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Thailand.

It is always a good idea to read the hostel recommendation, but most of the hostels that are located in the cities offers laggage storage, laundry, fully working wi-fi, and most likely they are near the transportation.

4. Stay over Saturday or mid-week

Most places offer cheaper price if you are staying over weekend, or mid-week. The weekend price drops because it is concidered as a family time. While booking the Monday to Friday vacation the price increases because there are bookings from their business travelers.

5. Stay more than one night in your accommodation

Most places provide a better price when you stay more than one night. Best price drops are during off-season.

6. Concider traveling in off-season

It is good to visit some places while a good season, but the prices are righer. If you want to rent car, get rid of crowded places withou as many people, and pay less go to a vacation when it is not its season. The weather may not be as you imagine. When visiting Europe concider going in different months than July/August. Avoid warm months, and crowds of people.
